He leans into those fingers just a little, bringing his hand up to gently stop Chris from pulling them away. He holds lightly, but it's a hold nonetheless. A pause. Hawke can tell this isn't as effortless for Chris as his usual, even with them only having done a scene once, he knows his friend well enough to see when he's having trouble in general, not just getting in a mood or a mindset. They need to talk first, not for his own safety but simply because if Chris is troubled, then that takes precedence, full stop.
