met a ghost who creamed himself so hard when i fucked him while carving my name into him tho
that was cool
(he's fine and healed way faster than i could even make the super shallow cuts)

someday maybe you could show me more in depth. i’ve heard of a ghost in town though, not met him. was asked if my undead magic worked on him but had to clarify, if it did, it wouldn’t be a fun time. way less sexy

to that end, how’d you cut a ghost?

undead as in necromatic or undead as in spectral?

huh must be a thing to this place. i imagine you wouldn’t kidnap a ghost to sex city if he couldn’t fuck

undead as in necromantic, spectral, zombie, vampire. any aspect of a thing to mean it was once alive but no longer. most of my magic is necromancy based, even my healing

an interesting take on 'necromantic' and 'not alive' surely that's still true. hadn't considered it before.

usually people who's magic involves things like that have more like artificers or earth elementals.

necromantic magic where i come from is defined as magic tied to beings that can't be seen, and everything that has died or been corrupted

this is why i'm not a wizard: i can't keep schools of magic straight in my head and i'm useless at study

so there's 8 planes of magic, right
humane, natural, mechanic, unnatural, spectral, demonic, heavenly, and necromantic

these planes intersect with compatible planes--like they meet in the middle. most people are able to access a secondary plane, so while i'm most in tune with mechanic, since that's the plane i was born into, demonic magic is the secondary plane i'm able to use without it destroying me

using planes you're not compatible with at all can really fuck you up. it's possible, but it's not good

so like for pierce (my bf) the plane he's most compatible with is unnatural. necromantic is his secondary: he can use necromantic magic, but it comes less naturally for him. he has to work harder for it.

tl;dr:
i can use two different kinds of magic, but one is significantly harder to pull off

alright, that part at least makes sense, the last part. most magic users of any stripe back home have something similar unless they're the kind that's just a mess of chaotic magical energy, like their ley lines got tangled.

for my own head: all clerics have a domain that they get their power from, something attributed to their god. the magic attached to that is what flows through them majority and easiest, but there's other kinds of magic and spells they might have access to as well, some of it weaker than what might come naturally, but still there.

it's just a matter of specialty and subspecialty, yours is what you're born to for the most part

our graduation ceremony is a little fucked and idk you don't need to have GREAT grades to get there just
passable ones

graduating comes in the form of not dying when sent out into a forest full of monsters and demons and other weird shit overnight
pierce has always been a great fighter, i just amped him up and stood right behind him
