[Included in the big box left on the porch where he lives with Jon are presents for Jon, Chris, Duke, and the Captain. Chris' presents are all wrapped separately like everything else. She got a kick out of it. Inside them are:

A jar of calendula cream labeled, "For those who don't like magic."

A book of filthy jokes.

A gift card to a clothing store that carries mostly black, dramatic things.

A small jar of curl cream with a pleasant unisex scent labeled, "Just a little dab rubbed between your palms and smoothed in. You. Will. Love. It."]

So I'm doing this thing called Christmas this year.

[He sends a handwritten note back, sealed with silver wax that's pressed with a signet ring, the image one of two crossed feathers with a cluster of three six-pointed stars at the top. Folded into the letter is a long and pristine raven's feather.]

Ah the Christimas Elf, my favorite Christmas thing. Mostly because it's you, have you seen what they call elves in their decorations?
Meanwhile, I absolutely love the hair stuff, I'll be using it until I die, thank you.
And the book. Although.
I ashamedly admit there's some context I've had to look up, but it's a learning experience.
Keep an eye out for a gift from me come Candleglow. I think you'll like it.

I have! Kurt drew me one when we first met. I still have the napkin.

Let me know when you run out of the hair stuff. I'll make you some more. I do it in small batches so the oils don't go rancid.

The book was just something silly and stupid. I don't think even I know all the context. It mentions machines and stuff I've never seen. I think they're machines. Who really knows?
