Nevermind.
Someone came to me and asked about obtaining them for dietary needs... kind of under the offer that it might stop them from finding other means of obtaining them.
no subject
I see.
A few questions for you, then, before I answer yours.
Is this person compulsed to kill others for the organs they're after?
Why organs specifically?
Are they a dominant or a submissive?
no subject
Except I'm trying to keep people from dying.
Charles says he made it clear in a talk they had that he doesn't have to.
I didn't ask what ones specifically and trust me, the idea that livers can be regrown from party of them has already wrongly crossed my mind.
They're a dominant, which is where I'm at. We know what won't happen even if he's caught.
He came to me asking. Terrifyingly he says the city is providing him with some things, but apparently not that.
He says he's willing to consider options that don't mean killing. Until and if he proves it a lie, I have to try so people don't die.

The city has never once brought someone in they couldn't sustain for dietary needs. It might not be organs specifically, but I imagine whatever in the organs they need to live is being supplied to them.
Which means this is pure want. A desire to kill and eat something they are used to getting through victims back home without repercussions, no different than some of the more selfish and violent monsters we've had here over the years. You're trying to prevent them from killing people?
Sounds like they're blackmailing your good nature, my friend.
The city won't stop them from killing, but this community is too small to pull victims from. For every one person they're likely to murder, five will crop up to avenge them and likely see them dying painfully.
They'll need to learn and adapt with the rest either the easy way or the hard way.

You know me.
Even if they're targeting natives and not us?
no subject
I don't really care if they want to eat the Natives. Some days I'm still not convinced they're real people.
My heart doesn't bleed like yours.
To answer your initial question: I can't make organs from nothing, magic like that doesn't exist in my world, it has to come from somewhere. Best I have to me is Regenerate which could grow harvested organs back in a subject they were taken from. Are you willing to find someone to volunteer to have their organs harvested to feed a demon who simply wants to whine about his dessert? Cause it's not a spell that will work on you, I'm afraid.
no subject
I know. I suspect it's sometimes better but not sure I would change.
I respect how you're able to see these things and handle them.
[He's not sure he could even if he wanted to. ]
Yeah I considered my own liver but I don't know if it would regenerate except inside of me.
I wouldn't look for volunteers that aren't myself. I'm the one that got myself into this.
I understand it won't work on me. A lot of things fall this way.
I said I would look into it and I am. I have.
no subject
Now that that's all covered: this is a terrible, self-destructive, idiotic thing you've gotten yourself into
Is this person a devil or a demon specifically? Forgive the assumption: in my world, one of those two makes the most sense.
no subject
I made my regular post about the blood bank. I try and do it every few months and I knew of one new vampire recently so I wanted to put things out there... and I am working on helping her as well.
But then I was approached about this. If I could stop people from dying, I couldn't say no.
Demon.
...
Is there a difference?
no subject
Demons are chaotic, self-serving, rarely redemptive things out for destruction and pain
Devils are much the same, but they’re lawful and have a code to follow. If a devil makes a deal not to murder, I’d believe them. If a demon does it, it only lasts until their next whim.
What you’re trying to do won’t stop them.
no subject
Is it possible a demon would want to change those desires?
Such as being trapped in a much smaller place, like we are now?
no subject
The most generous answer? Maybe he's seen the score as well and knows killing people will put him in a bad place if he kills the wrong person here. That won't change anything if it's not an earnest desire born from want to change rather than blending in to his new surroundings for survival.
I don't want to see you played for a sucker, lovely, but I'm more worried he's setting you up to be a long term meal.
no subject
Given my thoughts have gone to the regenerative powers of the human liver, I hate how right you could be. Except I'm dead technically so not sure that would be very helpful. I'm not sure how long I could survive in vampire blood, for example.
If it's needed and not just desire. Fucking Hell.
I never think it for long but sometimes I wish I wasn't so... me.
no subject
I just wish you'd use your brain in equal measure.
Don't let him use you like you've been used before. Don't let him take and take because you're scared of the alternative. You're better than that.
no subject
I use all of that up for medical things. Sorry.
Okay bad joke, but still. I am doing better, Chris. At least I feel like I am.
I won't. I learned my lesson there. He asked, so I'm willing to try but I'm also telling Charles he should talk about it publicly for the sake of others, and I won't protect him.
I think though I want to believe if he's asking there is a chance because I want to always believe that it isn't fated that with age I'll end up like my sire and his family. If you're trying, then there's an answer.
no subject
I still say that him asking could be a ploy, but I learned from the god of tyranny and manipulation, so maybe I’m too inclined to think the worst.
Just watch your back and if you need my help in a way I can provide, I’ll be there.
no subject
Thank you, Chris. That means a lot. I'll do my best to be careful.
