Carry-Over
[That's...actually a good question.]
Well...meat and nuts and snakes are, ah...typical, but maybe not best avenue for your particular bird. Fruit's a fair option, as are breads. I've- that is...I hear spicy food may go over well with some birds too. Got a fondness for that sort of bite.
They're like to eat just about anything, so figure there's little way to go wrong.

I'll forego the basic birdseed pack, then shall I?

Please. No common pigeon, your bird.

[Jon's just going to send... a few photographs of indoor swings he's been looking at. He likes the one at Jamie's place and the one Martin got him for home. Having one in the lounge would be nice, and Chris could share it, if he likes the idea.]

I'm sure he'd be more'n amenable. Such fine crafts are meant for use, not covetous intention. From my understanding, he's often quite fond of sharing.
[Which...was true on many fronts, really.
Though, it did sober his playfulness.]
You know...as fun as I'm having, probably many a thing we ought talk about. Expectations and like. Not now, if it's not desired or not a good time, but soon enough.

His anxiety takes longer than he'd like to quiet before Jon replies, tone hesitant.]
Yes, we ought to talk about that. In person, maybe?
no subject
Always happy to see your face, Jon. Name time and place and I'll even grab a snack to share.

I could... rent a hotel room? Unless you want to come to my house or have me come to yours. I-I'd just rather we have our privacy.
no subject
Maybe. He couldn't guess. Wouldn't guess, better to take out the possibility.]
Want your comfort for it as much mine, neither of us need to be dive-bombed by a bratty fledgling, so let's get the hotel room.
[There's a pause and then, a little quieter, he offers:] You know I'm looking forward to this, right? The talk, the play...all of it.
